Generation Y Dominica (shortened ‘Gen Y’) is an online social community first started on Facebook.com. This online community was built to represent a cross section of Dominican Society; born between 1980 – 1994, more commonly known as ‘millennials’ therefore upholding the name ‘Generation Y’.

Gen Y in Review
Generation Y Dominica was started back in 2013 with a super team of 5 aspiring youth lead by Dilma Kay Bastien. The team was created out of a common purpose to promote, encourage and let the voice of our generation be heard. With this goal in mind, the team introduced Generation Y Dominica on Dominica Broadcasting Corporation’s (short D.B.S Radio) Summer heartbeat radio show in 2014, and subsequently launched a youth focused radio show through the radio station, called ‘Good day DA,’ which aired every Sunday.
Today the project continues under the same leadership.

As of 2020, Gen Y has developed a new approach to community building by introducing its new website generationydominica.org together with our Facebook community.
This is ‘Your home, Your views, Your Community’, where we bring you even more ‘good stuff’ like our Gen – U – In Talk E – Magazine, Videos & our trendy #Tellitlikeitis Blog.
